Mach Dan will offer some Australian flavour to The Race by Grins (2200m), with his inclusion courtesy of slot holder Cullen Breeding LTD.

The son of Mach Three has 17 victories to his name, including an impressive win in the Gr.1 Newcastle Mile (1609m) in February. 

Mach Dan has joined the formidable stable of Mark Purdon and Hayden Cullen and they are looking forward to contesting The Race with the speedy gelding.

“He is very, very fast,” Purdon said.

“He is going to be a huge factor in The Race and we have him here for the next few months through until the Auckland Cup (May 27).

“Then I am likely to take Self Assured to the Queensland winter carnival and Danny (Zavitsanos, owner) has told me he would like us to take Mach Dan too.”
