Slot holders Hydroflow have secured four-year-old Bettor's Delight gelding Old Town Road for the $1 million The Race by Grins at Cambridge Raceway on April 14.

The John Dickie trained pacer has had a rapid rise to the major league in New Zealand, running sixth in the Gr.1 IRT New Zealand Trotting Cup at just his 13th start.

He followed that performance with a third placing in the Gr.1 NZ Pacing Free For All, behind last year's winner and second place getter in The Race by Grins, Self Assured and Majestic Cruiser.

He has won four races to date and also placed in the Gr.2 Ashburton Flying Stakes (2400m).

Old Town Road will have the services of his regular reins man Zachary Butcher, who will be having his first drive in New Zealand equal richest race.

By Bettor's Delight out of Lucy's Way, Old Town Road was bred by Southlanders Ben and Karen who co-own him along with John and Joshua Dickie.

Hydroflow had Spankem in the inaugural running of The Race by Grins last year, he finished third on that occasion.
